Guns at Work: Updates on Handgun Laws and the Impact on Arkansas Employers
June 26, 2018
In the 2017 Legislative session, Arkansas revised its laws concerning concealed carry licenses, in part, by expanding the basic license and creating an additional “enhanced” license or endorsement, which allows a holder to carry his or her handgun in more places than ever before. In addition to expanding the concealed carry law itself, an additional law was passed, which affects an employer’s ability to prohibit employees who are licensed concealed carriers from bringing their handguns to work.
In this webinar, we will discuss the changes to the concealed carry law as it relates to businesses and employers. We will also discuss the “Guns at Work” law and what rights the new law affords employers and employees as it relates to licensed concealed carry handguns and other weapons.
